In an interview with a San Diego morning show, former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault reveals inside details that indicate why the now infamous, Op-Ed essay published by the New York Times likely came from someone in Vice President Mike Pence's office.
The former member of the White House staff and author of the book "Unhinged," told The Show during her interview on Rock 105.3 FM about working for the Trump administration and elaborated on the explosive New York Times Op-Ed article by an unnamed official of the White House, in which President Trump is referred to as "erratic". The article states that there is a "quiet resistance" of cabinet members who have discussed Trump's removal from office.
Omarosa told The Show that details from the essay as well as conversations with friends and associates still working at the White House are what led her to believe that Vice President Pence's staff is involved.
The New York Times has taken a rare step in publishing the anonymous Op-Ed essay, but says that they have done so at the request of a senior official in the Trump administration whose identity is known to the New York Times but cannot be revealed without jeopardizing the person's position. Fast-forward to January 4, 2017 Omarosa was appointed by newly elected President Donald Trump to the position of Director of Communication for the Office of Public Liaison for the White House. In this position, Omarosa was responsible for communicating and interacting with various interest groups. After resigning from this position on December 13, 2017, Omarosa competed on the television show Celebrity Big Brother.
In August, Omarosa released her tell-all book Unhinged, which details her critical account of the Trump administration and her tenure at the White House.
