When To Watch Alex Trebek's Final Five 'Jeopardy!' Episodes

Jeopardy! is bidding farewell to their late host Alex Trebek with his final five episodes this week.

Trebek, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer in November, will have his final episodes air starting on Monday (January 4) at 7 PM ET on ABC. His last episode will air on Friday and include "a special tribute to the life and work of the man who captained America’s Favorite Quiz Show with skill, style, and sophistication for 36+ years," as per producer Sony Pictures Television. The final batch with Trebek as host were scheduled to air the week of Christmas, but the game show pushed the installments back as they admitted the holidays would be too crazy of a time for viewers to tune in.

Producers previously admitted that Trebek did not know that the final show he filmed would be his last. His final day in the studio took place on October 29, just 10 days before his death. However, he was clear with production about the status of his health. "I spoke to Alex Tuesday. He said, 'I'm not doing great, I'm not sure if we're gonna be able to tape Monday and Tuesday,'" executive producer Mike Richards recalled shortly after his death. "I said, 'That's OK, you just let me know how you're doing.'"

Expect new episodes of Jeopardy! to continue starting January 11 with guest host and famed lifetime show winner Ken Jennings as a temporary replacement.
