TMZ says "Carrie Underwood is Close to Finalizing Deal for Katy Perry's AMERICAN IDOL chair" and now Carrie and American Idol confirm it
As you probably know, Katy Perry’s out at "American Idol" but all signs point to Carrie Underwood replacing Katy! according to TMZ. That's where I'm hearing that Carrie and her personal management have been in talks with ABC executives to put Carrie back on the show that she started her career with. Carrie along with Luke Bryan and Lionel Ritchie seem like a great team!
TMZ also says that Carrie is scheduled to appear on "'GMA' this upcoming Friday -- for their summer concert series -- but of course ... an official announcement could come that day as well. As you know ... ABC is the parent company." Why wait til tomorrow when you can announce it on social media today and that is exactly what Carrie has done today.
