TMSG: Cop Saves Day For Woman Short $20 Buying “Hamilton” Tickets

Geraldine McKenna and her daughter are Irish tourists who decided to visit New York and had their hearts set on seeing the Broadway musical "Hamilton." They waited days in line to buy tickets only to realize they were $20 short. That's when New York Police Department officer Ricardo DiCandia stepped up.

The NYPD office posted on Facebook saying, McKenna had stood in line for four days and DiCandia "understood the magnitude of the emergency and pulled a 20 out of his pocket so she didn't have to throw away her shot." McKenna and her family were overjoyed by the officer's donation to their cause and wrote a note to the NYPD saying,

“It was without a doubt the best night and would not have been possible without Officer DiCandia’s generosity and kindness."
