Kane Brown: My New Album Will Be Either 'Hit or Miss'

Get ready for a new Kane Brown.

The country star tells Nashville reporters at the celebration for recent No. 1 song “What Ifs” that his next project will take a new turn.

“It’s a very different writing process,” he says of readying his sophomore album. “I’m trying to make it sound something that’s not even close to anything in Nashville. It’s kind of got an R&B feel, but [producer] Dan Huff is so good at bringing it and making it country.”

Kane adds the “different strategy” he’s taking with his second album will cause it to be either “a hit or miss.”

His self-title debut project has been no doubt a hit, earning the singer the status as the largest country debut for a new artist since the release of Sam Hunt’s Montevallo.

The project has been certified Gold and is available now.

No word on when to expect his next project.
